669,453. Rail - vehicle undercarriages. SCHWEIZERISCHE LOKOMOTIV-UND MASCHINENFABRIK. Jan. 20, 1950 [Jan. 31, 1949], No. 1537/50. Class 103(vi) A rail vehicle body is provided with downwardly extending guide pins 6 projecting into the axle-box brackets 3 to transmit guiding forces from the axle-box to the vehicle body and two pairs of rubber elements 8, 9 are interposed to provide different degrees of resilience in the longitudinal and transverse directions. The elements may be precompressed to different degrees of different materials or cross-sections to achieve different degrees of resilience. The rubber elements may take a part of the vehicle load and movement is limited in the vertical direction by clearances a and b. Fig. 1, in the transverse horizontal direction by clearance d, and in the longitudinal horizontal direction by clearance c between the retaining ring 21 and the bushing. 7.
