Abstract
665,039. Centrifugal separators. SIMON (HOLDINGS), Ltd., H. July 10, 1950 [Aug. 19, 1949], No. 21586/49. Class 23 A cyclone separator d has an expansion chamber b at its entrance the bottom of the chamber sloping steeply, i.e. at about 45 degrees or more to the horizontal into the outer vortex chamber of the separator d. The separator is used in a pneumatic elevating system having an inlet pipe a leading into the chamber b which is tangential to the part d so that material separated out in the chamber b runs down into the cyclone hopper.
