[Also in Group XXVIII] A pipe joint of the kind in which a pipe fits with small clearance within a socket or sleeve having an annular recess or recesses c containing just enough solder to fill the clearance by capillary attraction on the application of heat is characterized in that the socket b is integral with one of the pipes to be joined. The other plain end of the pipe will fit a like socket of another pipe.
