663,403. Brackets. SMITH & CLARKE, Ltd., T. and BRUNDRETT, W., May 22, 1950. [March 12, 1949] No. 6825/49 Class 52 (v). [Also in Groups XXV and XXXVI] An attachment bracket for supporting electrical insulators comprising a U-shaped member 1 an inturned leg 1a of which engages behind one edge of an I-section flange and a hooked bolt passing through the member to engage the opposite edge of the flange has a spring 6 provided on the bolt between the leg 1a, and a tightening nut 5 to press the member 1 towards the hooked end of the bolt. An electrical insulator 9 is connected to the member 1 by a bolt 10. As shown in Fig. 3, a base 11 is attached to the member 1 by a bolt 12 which passes through a locking bar 13. A spring 16 is inserted between the bar 13 and an end nut 14. Insulators 9 are attached to the base 11. The bar 13 can be moved away from the base against the action of the spring and pivoted on the bolt 12 to a position where the insulators can be removed. Specification 473,105 is referred to.
