Abstract

663,031. Stoppers for collapsable tubes, or bottles &c. WAITE, R. B. June 5, 1946 [July 4, 1945], No. 17110/46. Classes 21, 66 and 125(iii). A collapsable tube, or a bottle &c. is sealed by a membrane 13 pierced by inserting a tubular stopper with a tapered end which displaces the membrane as it cuts it, the tapered end 32 being slotted at 34 &c. and bent or thickened so that it projects outwardly below the shoulder of the neck 11 and prevents the stopper being completely removed. The body of the stopper is flared &c. at 19. A dispensing opening 30 is uncovered when the cap is moved outwardly.
