Abstract

660,222. Suction cleaners; injectors. SHERWIN, C. E. Sept. 19, 1949. No. 612/49. Class 8 (i) and 71. In a compressed air suction cleaner of the kind in which a cranked main pipe 1 is connected at one end 1d to a dust bag and is cut off on an angle at the other end into which projects an orifice 2a of a narrow diameter compressed air supply pipe 2, the orifice 2a is so positioned and orientated as to direct the compressed air across the interior of the main pipe at a small angle from the plane of the said angularly cut off end. The orifice 2a is flattened in a direction at right angles to the main pipe limb 1 c. The compressed air supply is controlled by a needle valve (not shown).
