Abstract

654,564. Mowing-machines. AGRICULTURAL REQUISITES & MECHANIZATIONS, Ltd., and COOPER, G. W. Dec. 1. 1948, No. 31112. [Class 6(ii)] A mowing machine, of the type described in Specification 624,321, is provided with an adjustable ledger-blade 14. The blade is secured to an angle-section bracket 16 which can rock on an anglemember 19 secured to the main frame. The member 19 is welded to the depending flange of a transverse angle-member 13 itself welded to another frame member 11. Screws 20 pass through the members 13 and 16 and enter a round bar 22 lying in the angle of the bracket 16. Set-screws 23 threaded through the member 13 bear on the bracket 16 to adjust the setting of the ledger-blade relatively to the cutter cylinder 12. Forwardly-extending fingers 18 are riveted to the bracket 16 below the ledger-blade. The mown grass passes over an inclined plate 29 to an endless. elevator, as in Specification 624,321.
