Abstract

647,203. Building blocks ; walls. ANTOSCH, E. May 7, 1948, No. 13585/47. Convention date, Sept. 29, 1945. [Class 132 (iii)] [Also in Group X] A hollow wall comprises apertured blocks 1 formed on their upper and lower faces with corresponding tongues 14 and grooves 15 and in their end faces with grooves 16 within which are vertical ribs 4 to position plates 5 arranged in pairs between the blocks 1. The aperture in the block 1 is partially closed by portions 3. The plates 5 are formed with bevelled rabbets 6 on their edges and a central recess 5<SP>1</SP> in their inner faces. Corresponding L- and T- shape hollow blocks are provided for wall corners and junctions. The blocks and plates may be laid in straight or staggered bond. In the latter case, make-up blocks 9 having a tongue on the top and one end and a groove in the bottom and the other end are provided for use at corners, wall junctions &c. Specification 507,929, [Group X], is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a beam formed by a number of aligned blocks 1, Figs. 2 and 3, filled with concrete. This subject-matter does not appear m the Specification as accepted.
