638,789. Filters. SCHAPIRO, H. July 2, 1948, No. 17906. [Class 46] [Also in Group VI] A filter for a vacuum coffee maker comprises a spiral 50 of stainless spring wire wound around a handle 51. Three spokes 53 which project radially from the handle each carry a weighted pin 55 which projects into one of three tubes 60. The tubes depend om the bottom of an upper vessel 58 into a lower vessel (not shown). In a modification, the spiral 50 is replaced by a perforated disc to which the three weighted pins are riveted. The disc is spaced from the bottom of the upper vessel by means of a flange formed on its periphery.
