Abstract

638,156. Pulse delaying circuits. WESTERN ELECTRIC CO., Inc. April 9, 1947, No. 9436. Convention date, April 20, 1946. [Class 40 (vi)] A circuit for producing a pulse having a variable delay with respect to an input pulse comprises a flip-flop circuit which is triggered by an input pulse applied via a series connected rectifier. The Figure shows a blocking oscillator stage comprising a valve 12 which is synchronized by a crystal controlled oscillator stage 11, the pulses at the output of the blocking oscillator are applied via rectifier 16 to trigger the cathode-coupled flip-flop comprised by valves 13, 14. The pulse at the anode of valve 14 produced when this valve reverts to its normally conducting state has a delay with respect to the triggering pulse applied to grid 31 which may be adjusted by the setting of resistor 17.
