[Class 40 (vi)] A valve oscillator 1 of the kind having its tank circuit 14, 15 connected to a positive grip 5 is rendered intermittently operative by negative pulse voltages 24 applied to the grid of a control valve 19 connected across the tank circuit. The valve oscillator is connected in the transitron circuit and the control valve operates as a variable shunt resistance across the tank circuit.
