637,029. Combine-harvesters. TRIER, L. P. Nov. 7, 1947, No. 29770. Convention date, July 5, 1946. [Class 6 (iii)] A combine harvester, of the type having a reaper unit a arranged laterally of a thresher and connected thereto by an elevator b, is characterised by the elevator being located partially inside the thresher casing and the shakers h being located between a beater c and the reaper unit a. The elevator includes a horizontal portion arranged immediately behind the reaper. Between the beater c and the shakers h are guiding surfaces g, Fig. 3, which change the direction of motion of the corn stalks from a lateral to a longitudinal direction relatively to the machine. The sheaves l are discharged rearwardly.
