Abstract

636,660. Scaffold clamps. HAAS, C. July 27, 1945, No. 19673/48. Divided out of 636,594. [Class 20 (ii)] Relates to scaffolding composed of tubes of rectangular cross-section and provides a detachable clamping device for holding such tubes at right angles. The tube T<SP>1</SP> has a cradle 1 and the other tube T<SP>2</SP> lies between arms 2, 3 projecting from the cradle. A clamping plate 4 hinged to the arm 3 has a slot for an eyelet screw 6 pivoted to the arm 2, and on tightening the nut 8 clamping pressure is applied. Specification 636,594 is referred to.
