629,697. Moistening air. FELDERMANN, W. June 5, 1947, No. 14920. Convention date, Oct. 7, 1944. [Class 55 (ii)] In an air humidifier water is supplied by an impeller 17 from a pan 10 to a rotating plate 21 and dispersed by a fixed comb 22 surrounding the plate and supported by standards 23 which also carry a high-speed motor 14. A fan 25 secured to the impeller unit discharges an air stream carrying a fine spray through apertures 32 in the side wall of a hood 30 the top of which slopes downwardly towards the centre to provide a drip edge 35, so that drops escaping the comb and returned along the top wall fall on to the atomizer plate.
