583,559. Moistening air. HOLT, S. Oct. 31, 1944, No. 21250. [Class 55 (ii)] Liquid is supplied to air-humidifying apparatus by a motor driven pump f which feeds it to the centre of a rotating disc d lying between two plates carrying a wire gauze e through which the liquid thrown off the disc is dispersed as a fine spray. Air is drawn up by a fan c, driven by a motor b which rotates the disc, to pass between the gauze e and a ring-like shield a which has a flared outlet a<1>. A valve h keeps the liquid at a constant level and the motor f may be controlled by a hygrostat.
