[Class 6(i)] [Also in Group XXXIV] A land wheel for farm tractors, adaptable for use on roads, comprises a rim formed in two (or more) segments 6 fitted with reversible strakes detachably secured in brackets 18 on the rim-members, the latter being adjustable along slotted transverse wheel-bars 4 to vary the tracking-width. As shown in Figs. 1 and 5, the strakes are secured by spring-pressed pins 20 so as to present their angled ends 19 flush with the rim periphery for use on roads, or with the plain ends 17 projecting to engage the ground. For clamping the rim-segments in selected position on the bars 4, pairs of plates 8, 9, Fig. 3, adapted to straddle the channel-bars 4 are clamped by means of a hand-lever 14 which is pivoted at 15 to the plate 9 and carries a link 12 fitted with a cross-pin 11 to engage the hooped end 10 of the plate 8.
