[Class 83 (iii)] In a stock and die screw-threading device for tubes, spring-closed collet jaws e are adapted to support the tube h immediately within the screwing area and have flanges h<SP>2</SP> to limit their entrance into the tube, the jaws being expanded by a cone-headed bolt f<SP>1</SP> having mounted thereon a threaded sleeve i and an operating nut n, the sleeve i having rotatable thereon a lead nut k which is secured to a reversible ratchet-operated stock a provided with die segments b, the advance movement of the lead nut being limited by a flange o on the sleeve i.
