Abstract

623,918. Digging root-crops. JOHNSON, T. S. May 28,1947, No. 14234., [Class 6(iii)] A potato - digging share comprises a a pair of blades 1, arranged to present a re-entrant leading edge of V-form, and carrying rearwardlyextending rods 5 which guide potatoes towards a conveyer 4. The blades are carried by upstanding side plates 2 and present a convex lower surface to the ground so that the excavated material is directed centrally behind the share. A gap is left between the inner ends of the blades.
