Abstract

1,077,395. Root-crop harvesters. L. DREYER and E. DREYER [trading as AMAZONEN-WERKE H. DREYER]. April 30, 1965 [May 2, 1964], No. 18224/65. Heading A1F. In a potato-digger comprising a share 5 feeding excavated material on to a rodlink conveyer 4, the frame 3 carrying the share and conveyer being supported from the main frame 1 of the machine by links 10 having a lost-motion connection 11 with lifting gear 6, 7 so that the share can float, within limits, in relation to the main frame, the floating action is controlled by a pair of adjustable wheels 25 carried by arms 13 pivoted to the frame 3, the wheels running in the furrows at each side of the potato-ridge 27, and serving, together with disc-coulters 15 also mounted on the arms, to form lateral boundaries of the digger. The arms 13 are integral with a shaft 12 journalled in the frame 3, and are adjustable by a threaded crank 19, 21. The wheels 25 are carried by further arms 24 pivoted on the ends of the arms 13, and are adjustable by apertured linkage 22, 29 interconnecting the arms 13, 24.
