Abstract

622,846. Two-part couplings. WALSALL CONDUITS, Ltd., and GOUGH, E. Nov. 20, 1946, No. 34346. [Class 38 (i)] One live pin 16 and the earth pin 15 of a 3-pin plug are loosely mounted on the plug body 10 to avoid the need for accurate alignment in manufacture. The pins 16, 15 pass through clearance holes 25 and are located in recesses 26 by terminals 27 constructed as disclosed in Specification 622,845. The live pin 17 is a close sliding fit in the body 10 and is fixed by a plate 18 attached to it and housed in a recess 19. A fuse 23 is supported by carriers 20, 21 provided on the plate 18 and a terminal 22, respectively. A spare fuse 24 is carried by the cover 11. The Provisional Specification states also that all the pins may be loosely mounted and refers to Specifications 614,864 and 622,467.
