Abstract
622,131. Adjustable metal props. ACROW (ENGINEERS), Ltd., and CLARK, J. A. Oct. 22, 1946, No. 31344. [Class 20(ii)] Two telescopic members a, d are approximately adjusted to position by means of a pin e passing through slots a3 in the outer member a and spaced holes d<SP>1</SP> in the inner member d, final adjustment being effected by a nut b engaging the threaded portion a<SP>2</SP> of the outer member a and bearing against the projecting ends of the pin e. The nut b is formed with a depending sleeve f covering the threaded portion a<SP>2</SP> below the nut while an upper sleeve g riding on the nut b is provided with openended slots or holes g<SP>1</SP> for passage of the pin e and covers the threaded portion a<SP>2</SP> above the nut.
