[Class 52 (ii)] A bedstead constructed of sections pivotally attached to a frame has one or more of its sections constructed from two or more pivotally interconnected sub-sections capable of relative angular adjustment. As shown the mattress comprises two main sections a, b pivoted to the main frame c. The section a consists of four sub-sections a<SP>1</SP>, a2, a3, a4 interconnected by pivots f. The position of the various sub-sections is adjusted by moving two bolts h which are slidable in sockets i formed on the subsections a<SP>1</SP>... a<SP>4</SP>. The bolts may be held in position by spring controlled catches m which engage in holes in the bolts.
