635,889. Bed settees ; bedsteads. BROWN, G. Oct. 26, 1948, No. 27835. [Class 52 (ii)] In a folding bed, bed settee, or the like two of the mattress sections 1, 2 at each side are connected together by a connector 3 of angle section the connector 3 being pivoted to the sections 1, 2 by pivots 4A, 4B. A leg 5 is also pivoted to the section 2 by the same pivot 4B and is provided with a strut 8 the remote end of which comprises a pin 7 riding in a cam slot 6 in the vertical flange of the connector 3. On folding the section 1 on to the section 2 the co-action of the pin 7 with the cam slot 3 causes the leg 5 to fold against the section 2.
