619,322. Seats. PULLMAN (PATENT) PRODUCTS, Ltd., DAVIS, J. M., and GRIFFITH, G. Dec. 2, 1946, No. 35705. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (v)] In a tip-up seat the standards 1 carrying the pivots 25 each comprise two sheet metal panels 4, 5, Fig. 5, with interposed spacers 8 and front and rear closure strips 6, the upper ends of the standards having inclined rear flanges 14 to support the back-rest 13 and their tops being closed by the bases of the armrests 22. The seat and back rest may have peripheral channels to enclose tacking strips for the upholstery. Specification 623,414 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
