Abstract

619,170. Roller blinds. BANNERMAN, R. Nov. 23, 1946, No. 34818. [Class 20(iii)] One end-supporting bracket 10, Fig. 1, for a roller-blind of the "Scotch" type has an elongated opening 13, a sliding gate 15 adapted to close the opening and a backplate 11 which lies against the window frame in a vertical position and having a lug 24 to engage the window-frame. A U- shaped reinforcement 13A may be provided round the opening 13. The second end bracket 110, Fig. 4, with a back-plate 111 and a lug 124 carries a fixed pivot 33 and a flanged bearing plate 34. The corresponding end-caps 27 and 127 are shown in Fig. 7, the cap 27 carrying a spring-pressed ratchet 28 which engages with the pawl 20 pivoted to the bracket 10.
