Abstract
619,038. Bobbins. ANDRIEU, P. June 14, 1939, No. 17434. Convention date, June 30, 1938. [Class 120(iii)] A continuous single thread is wound in a plurality of axially spaced windings on a tube so thai by cutting or dividing the tube and cutting the thread between the sec. tions at least one tube sec. tion may readily be separated and used, e.g. in the dismountable bobbins of sewing machines; the remaining section may be of similar or of different size. The tube 4 may, before winding, be cut wholly or partly into sections and covered with thin paper 5, Fig. 2, to hold the sections together, or the sections may be formed by slots, Fig. 4, or by weakening or grooved lines on the tube.
