613,275. Making race rings. RIV-OFFICINE DI VILLAR PEROSA SOC. PER AZIONI. June 14, 1946, No. 17981. Convention date, June 15, 1945. [Class 83 (ii)] A race ring is made by pressing and sintering steel powder to form a ring of rectangular section which is then brought to its final shape and formed with a race by a hot rolling operation carried out at a temperature below the sintering temperature. The race may, if desired, be case-hardened or nitrided. The ring may be impregnated with lubricant.
