612,249. Chains. LOPES, M. A. May 21, 1946, No. 15400. [Class 24] A chain of the endless conveyer type traversing a conveyer sprocket 6, has channel-shaped links 2 pivotally connected at 3 near their open sides and including on the side flanges of the channels end portions 5 which are bent towards each other to abut the bent end portions of adjacent links. The web of the channel of each link has a projection 7 at one end which overlaps and engages the web of an adjacent link in order, together with the abutments 5, to prevent sagging of the links.
