Abstract

631,422. Conveyers. COOCH, J. F. July 31, 1947, No. 20732. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XXIV] Con.veyer bands comprise cross slats and parallel chains the alternate links of which are constructed of one or more plates having lugs, studs or the equivalent which project in the plane of the plate and are passed through slots in the slats and operated on to secure the slats to the links. The parallel chains comprise pairs of connecting links 1 pivotally connected between attachment links 2 by pivot pins 3 carrying rollers 4. At least one link of each pair of links 2 is formed of two plates with coinciding projecting lugs 2a or studs which pass through slots in the slats 5 and are opened to secure the slats to the chain. The chain passes over sprocket wheel C having narrow teeth 6a, wide teeth 6b separated by a curved base to accommodate the links 1, 2, and rollers 4 respectively.
