Abstract
610,739. Furniture combinations. GRAVES, E. C. March 22, 1946, No. 8905. [Class 52(iii)] An easy chair is provided with a cavity to accommodate a folded table which comprises a centre section, two dropleaves pivoted thereto, pivoted legs and a panel hinged to the table top and adapted to close the chair cavity when the folded table is housed therein. The cavity 2 is preferably provided in one of arms 1 of the chair and the folding table comprises a centre section 5, pivoted leaves 4, folding legs 6 pivoted to the leaves 4 and held in operative position by stays 7, and a panel 3 pivoted to the centre section 5. The leaves 4 are held in operative position by a swivelling cross bar 8. To house the table in the cavity the table is inverted the legs 6 folded on to the leaves 4 which are then folded upwardly and finally the panel 3 is also hinged upwardly and the table then placed in the cavity. The chair may also be provided with drawers 10, 11, 12 housed in appropriate cavities.
