610,153. Ventilators and chimney tops. DOWNEY, A. V. March 29, 1946, No. 9704. [Classes 25 and 137] A chimney top or ventilator comprises a stack 1, adapted at its lower end to be fitted to a roof or chimney, with which is associated an outer sleeve 5 positioned around the stack between an upper deflector 6 and a lower deflector 4, both deflectors being of frustro-conical shape with their larger diameter ends directed downwards. An inner deflector 7 comprising a pair of conical parts arranged base to base is mounted inside the upper deflector 6 and above the open end of the stack 1.
