Abstract
609,102. Door trim. HEIJMER, G. B., SANDA, B. E., and TROBECK, K. G. March 6, 1946, No. 6920. [Class 20(iii)] An adjustable trim for doors, &c., comprises channel shaped members C, D, E, to be secured to the frame A, and mouldings G, F, F to cover at least part of the members C, D, E and removably connected thereto by co-operating fastening members a, b, i, so that the fastening members, the joint between the frame and the wall, and the edges of the channel members are all covered by the mouldings. The wooden door frame has cut-away portions h at the the top and at the bottom if a sill B is to be fitted. The member C is fitted over and held against the top of the frame, while the member D with hinges attached is fixed to the frame by screws through the ears b. The door is connected and the member E with lock hole e adjusted and fastened. The member C is lowered to contact the members D, E and fastened through the ears a. Mouldings G, F, F are then connected to the channel members the fasteners i co-operating with the ears a, b. The members C, D, E may have a lacquer finish, and may be lined with felt, &c.
