[Class 52(iii)] [Also in Groups X and XXV] A stand for displaying articles, e.g. hats or shoes, comprises an inner member e, Fig. 1, slidable in an outer member a, a rubber collar c adapted to fit over the member a and grip the member e in any adjusted position, and a rubber pad i which holds the inner member steady and prevents rattling. In a modification, Fig. 2, the collar h is supported on a metal or rubber part g on the outer member. The base of the stand may consist of a metal block encased in rubber or the outer member a may be fitted with a clamp by which it can be secured to a support such as the edge of a shelf.
