607,375. Lamp-holders. COLE, Ltd., E. K., BOO, W. DE, and GEISOW, B. H. Feb. 1, 1946, No. 3204. [Class 38 (i)] A holder for double-end tubular lamps comprises an insulating base 1 having on one face a central slot 8 extending inwardly from the end of the base, which in turn has two diverging slote 9, 10 at its inner end, one on either side of slot 8 and twc further slots 11, 12 intermediate the slots 9, 10 and the end of the base. Contact springs 4, 5 housed in recesses 2, 3 in the base cooperate with slots 10, 12 and 9, 11 respectively. Thus, after the lamp pins have been inserted successively through slot 8, the lamp may be turned either clockwise or anticlockwise to cause the pins to enter slots 10, 11 or 9, 12 respectively. A cover (not shown) is mounted on the back of the base.
