600,769. Cycle &c. frames. SOC. D'APPAREILS DE CONTROLE ET D'EQUIPEMENT DES MOTEURS, S.A.C.E.M. May 7, 1945, No. 11628. Convention date, April 24, 1942. [Class 136 (iii)] The main member of a bicycle frame comprises a single tube 1 of relatively large crosssection, bent to a relatively large radius of curvature and connected to the crank bearing 2 by intermediate members. These intermediate members 3, 4 are formed of strip metal, but may be metal plates or constitute a tool box or petrol tank. The internal diameter of the tube is sufficient for it to serve as a petrol tank and for the reception of an electrode during the welding of the intermediate members thereto. An auxiliary engine 18 of the kind having a driving wheel bearing directly on the front wheel of the bicycle may be provided. The application to tandems, tricycles, wheeled chairs and other light vehicles is mentioned.
