Abstract
242,036. Francis & Barnett, Ltd., and Francis, G. I. Sept. 20, 1924. Bicycles.-Frames for motor-cycles and the like, of the kind in which some or all of the members are duplicated, as described in Specification 211,281, are stiffened by the provision within the rear part of the frame of a fixed axis by means additional to the existing frame members. The fixed axis d is formed by the intersection of members a, b forming triangles with the main frame members c. The engine, which is mounted on a transverse stay g is also connected to the axis d by plates e which may carry the gearbox, tool-box &c., and are formed with or connected to extensions e<1> on which an adjustable jockey pulley or pinion f<1> may be mounted.
