[Classes 20(ii), 20(iv) and 87(i)] Panels used in the construction of walls, floors, ceilings &c.. are provided with integral or attached top and bottom clips or flanges a, b so arranged that by movement of each panel in its own plane and perpendicularly to the edges carrying the clips, the said clips are engaged with clips of adjacent panels and with the flanges of joists, purlins or other structural members. Outside panels are provided on their vertical or rising edges with a lip c and a roll d so that the rolls d fit over the lips c, e.g., when the panels are used for roofing. Alternatively adjacent roofing panels may be plain overlapped, or joggled overlapped, or the side joints may be formed by flanges similar to the flanges a, b. In Fig. 6, panels t of metal, metal alloy, wood, plywood, asbestos-cement, plastic or laminated plastic, on which suitable clips a, b are attached or formed, are used for constructing cavity walls, the clips being of wood, or of metal formed in appropriate profiles, e.g., u and v at the bottom and top edges respectively of an outer panel, and wand x at the bottom and top edges of an internal panel. When the panels are to form the junctions between the walls and the roof, or to form the ridge cap or closing element of the roof lining, the panels are suitably curved. The panels s, forming the floor, may be surfaced with linoleum y, or a composition material, plywood or boards, and the ceiling panels z may have a surfacing z<1> of plywood, plaster board, fibre board, acoustic board &c.
