Abstract

597,560. Valve holders. JACKSON, D., and PYE, Ltd. Aug. 23, 1945, No. 21559, [Class 38 (i)] To improve screening, a valve holder comprises a one-piece moulded body 10 having contact apertures 16 and bosses 11 which enter corresponding apertures in a metal plate 13 to which the body is secured by a rivet 23 which is conductively connected to the plate. A slot 24 in the rivet is aligned with a key-recess 22 in the body for the guide-pin of a valve, and a flange 26 engages a shoulder 33 on the body 10. The rivet portion 27 is provided with resilient tongues 28 compressible by a C-spring 29 to ensure a good contact with the valve guide-pin. The contact elements are of the type described in Specification 595,220. The Provisional Specification describes a rivet shaped to conform with the guide-pin aperture, and an arrangement in which the flanged portion of the rivet houses a spring clip adapted to snap into a groove in the valve guide pin. The Provisional Specification also refers to Specification 595,186.
