[Class 17 (ii)] A sandal consists of a pliable sole 11 attachable to the foot 13 solely by a strap 14 disposed on the inner side edge of the forward end of the sole to engage around the big toe. The strap 14, composed of braid or soft leather, passes through one or a pair of slots formed in the sole and is secured on the underside. It may be adjustable by means of a buckle 15, as shown, or adjusted initially to size.
