Abstract

591,362. Rocket dischargers. SCHERMULY, C. D., SCHERMULY, A. J., and SCHERMULY, C. Feb. 23, 1945, No. 4559. [Class 9 (ii)] A striker 1, more particularly for a rocket discharger, carried in a tube 7 is released by a rotatable handle 11. The handle 11 has a socket 13 the same shape as the flattened end 2 of the striker 1. The tube 7 carries a plate 8 having a slot 9 through which the striker passes. The slot 9 is of such a shape that when the .handle 11 is turned so that the flattened end 2 registers with the slot 9 the striker 1 is released to fire a detonating cap in a recess 5. A safety pin 14 passes through holes in the discharger 10 and the handle 11.
