Abstract

590,810. Binding-posts. RUTTER, F. W. March 24, 1945, No. 7483. [Class 38 (i)] A connector comprising a body a slotted at b for a conductor c has an internal screw-thread d for a clamping plug e and a blind side-entry f for a branch-lead g which intersects the slot and cannot protrude. The body a is covered with insulation a<1> countersunk at f<1> for the branch-lead insulation. A cap h fits over the plug e to complete the insulation of the connector. The body and the plug may be entirely made of insulating material and a locking-nut provided instead of the cap. More than one side-entry may be provided if required. Specification 589,524 is referred to.
