Abstract

587,290. Holder for rolls of paper. IRVING, M. M. O. Oct. 2, 1944, No. 18836. [Class 18] A fixture for holding a roll of paper, such as toilet paper or gummed wrapping strip, comprises a back plate 1 and side wings 2 provided with inturned flanges 3 inclined downwardly, as shown, towards the back plate and on which the ends of a mandrel 4 carrying the roll of paper 5 are adapted to rest. The lower part of the back plate is serrated at 6 to facilitate parting the paper. According to a modification described in the Provisional Specification the flanges 3 are dispensed with and tongues, formed by slitting wings, are bent so as to provide the downwardly inclined surfaces on which the ends of the mandrel rest.
