Abstract

606,396. Tape dispensers. CLARK, G. M. (Cofax Corporation). Jan. 14, 1946, No. 1273. [Class 18] An adhesive tape dispenser comprises a base 3 having a stud 4, supporting a roll of tape 9, and a cutter member 5 positioned at the edge of the base and extending the width of the tape. A ledge 6 is provided on the cutter member 5 and provides a surface to which the end of the tape may adhere after a length has been severed. The cutter member 5 is rigidly supported by an inclined wall 2 extending from the edge of the base to the outer end of the member. The tape is retained on the stud 4 by a disc 12 and may be reversely mounted to feed in either direction of rotation, the tape being fed over the ledge 6, and adhering thereto after severing in one direction, and round the ledge 6 so that it may be applied to a surface when mounted to feed in the other direction.
