Abstract
586,239. Wheeled chairs. HOLROYD, H. Nov. 6, 1944, No. 21678. [Class 52 (i)] [Also in Group XXXII] A chair A has attached to its legs a U-shaped framework B which has two members C pivoted to its front portion and connected by an axle F having wheels G. Links H, connected by a rod J, are also pivoted to the framework Band have a counterweight lever K which normally holds the rod J against the undersides of the framework B. On tilting the chair about its front legs, the members C trip the links H which are brought back to their normal position so that, on lowering the rear of the chair, the rod J fits into recesses D in the tops of the members C, as shown in Fig. 3.
