Class 52(ii) The frame of an armchair c o m - prises at each side three members two of which provide rear and front legs 1, 2 and cross one another whilst the third constitutes an arm rest 5 connected at its forward end to the upper end of leg member 1 and the upper end of the front leg member 2 connecting with the arm rest to the rear of the crossing point. The side frame members may be connected together by transverse members 8, 9, 10, or provided with other means, for supporting the seat and back frame members 11, 13 the seat and the back being preferably integral. The three members 1, 2, 5 may be tapered and the member 2 may pass through the member 1 at the crossing point 3.
