Abstract
584,879. Spreading apparatus. INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION, Ltd., and ENNALS, E. G. Jan. 31, 1945, No. 2459. [Class 78 (iv)] In colliery tip spreaders of the kind comprising a drag scraper winch b and a drag scraper bucket c, a mobile structure connected to the winch and bucket includes an overhung jib e with a tail sheave f at one end, one or more anchor ropes g passing from the winch to the tail sheave and thence to a remote point. The structure is mounted on endless tracks h, has outwardly flared sides and a flat base which terminates in a steel ramp to facilitate the movement of the bucket.
