Abstract

583,987. Dust-bin &c. lids. SIMS, R. S. C. Sept. 9, 1944, No. 17239. [Class 26] [Also in Group XVII] In a dust-bin, oil drum, or like container, the lid is carried by a vertical pivot on the outside of the body of the container whereby it may be swivelled horizontally for opening purposes. As shown, the lid 13 is provided with a pin 16 to engage in a socket 12 on an external bracket 10, and with a cross member 14 having a handle 15 and clips 19 to engage under a rim 20 on the container 11. The container may carry stops to limit movement of the lid.
