Abstract
581,567. Aerials. INTERNATIONAL MARINE RADIO CO., Ltd., and McALLISTER, W. H. Nov. 3, 1941, No. 14144. [Class 40 (v)] To increase the radiation efficiency of a transmitting aerial which is shorter than one quarter the operating wave-length, the aerial is folded back on itself one or more times, e.g. as shown in Fig. 1b. An inverted L- shaped aerial may be similarly folded as in Fig. 2c. The folded back portions may be parallel or inclined to each other.
