Abstract
576,360. Wide band aerials. SOC. ANON. DES INDUSTRIES RADIOELECTRIQUES S. A.-D. I. R. Feb. 19, 1942, No. 2232. Convention date, March 28, 1941. [Class 40 (v)] An aerial is formed of a continuous conducting sheet constituting in effect an indefinite number of thin conductors of the same general form extending sideby-side and very close together, but of different lengths so as to afford equal radiation over a wide range of frequencies. As shown, the aerial consists of a narrow loop of conducting strip comprising flat portions 1, 3 and 2, set at an angle and connected by end portions 10, 11, the edges of which in plane development conform to parabolas.
