Abstract
578,897. Watches. SIMON, J. April 21, 1944, No. 7430. Convention date, April 27, 1943. [Class 139] The shank 3 integral with the crown 4 of a push-button of a watch slides in guide tube 2 fixed to the casing 1. To ensure fluid tightness, three washers 5, 5<1>, 5<11> of resilient material are arranged as shown in the space between the shank 3 and the tube 2. The outer end of the tube 2 is capped by a sleeve 6 which engages the shank 3 and has an outwardly turned flange 61 on which bears the lower coil of a coiled spring 7, the top coil of which bears on the bottom of a recess 8 of the crown 4. The sleeve 6 may slide freely on the tube 2 and acts con-. tinually, under the action of spring 7, on a ring 9 which engages the shank 3 above the washer 5. The top end of the tube 2 is provided with an inwardly turned setting 10 to prevent displacement of the packing (i.e. washers 5, 5<1> and 5<11> and ring 9).
